The Kapp collection tags for these figures label them “Nabba Massi” – literally “earth boy” in the Guna language. Clyde Keeler assembled a small number of clay nudsu figures for his book, Cuna Indian Art, and there is one piece in the Peabody Museum, but early clay nudsugana are scarce.
